This is a little old, but still really cool. Stony Brook University is receiving $13 MM to purchase Ampere One M machines and run their first year opperations.

_This funding will be used to procure and operate a high-performance, highly energy-efficient computer designed to handle the growing needs of artificial intelligence research and other scientific fields that require large amounts of memory and computing power. By making this resource widely available to researchers, students, and educators across the country, the project will expand access to advanced tools, support groundbreaking discoveries, and train the next generation of scientists._

That’s awesome!
$13.77M for Ampere-powered supercomputing, and the fact that it’s explicitly about democratizing access for students and researchers is really cool.

As someone who teaches, I love seeing investment in making computing resources available for education!
