This is what Canonical is showing at MWC
It shows BearID (https://bearresearch.org/) which runs on Trapper, running on an Ampere Fly Away kit. Both projects are Open Source projects that you can help out with. @bluevalhalla (Ed Miller) has been working on. We are trying to schedule him for an interview of the project, but he has been in Lima talking at the ICTC (International Conservation Technology Conference).

Oh, that’s really cool!
Using ML for bear identification and conservation, running on Ampere hardware; I love seeing these kinds of real-world use cases.
I checked out bearresearch.org, and the whole approach of non-invasive monitoring through face recognition is fascinating.
Hope Ed has a great time in Lima, looking forward to that interview when he’s back! ![]()
