Used MT Jade Wiwynn Server - how to access the BMC?

Hi there,

I got my hands on a used server. It was wiped before I got it. I’m stumped on how to access the BMC. I’ve used Dell servers before with the Dell iDRAC, so this is completely new to me. My apologies if this is the wrong place to ask for help on this server.

You can use either the web GUI or ipmitool to access the BMC.

WebGUI: https://<bmc_ip> in the browser

ipmi SOL: ipmitool -I lanplus -H <bmc_ip> -U -P sol activate

Thanks! Turns out the onboard ethernet port has some pins bent out of shape, so wasn’t able to connect to it :smiley: .

Now that I’m in.. I need to figure out how to upgrade the BMC. Would you happen to have any pointers on it?

Hi,

Unfortunately, Mt. Jade firmware is not available publicly, and would require NDA to register from Ampere Customer Connect to be able to download firmware from there.
